Help create Bootable WinXP Flash drive.

Hello Members,

I have a Year 2002 purchased Licensed version of Win XP on a Compaq CD.

Wish to return to this iconic legacy OS. Boot from CD is getting STUCK at the very first stage viz. --"Checking Hardware Configuration..".

Tried using WinToUSB under>> CD/DVD ROM to USB << & it returned --"Cannot find Bootable image(error code)"!

Gave a shot to Tool available under Drop-down menu>>CD/DVD to ISO<< & created suitable ISO successfully.

Now tried >>Image-To-USB<< & it is again returning --"Cannot find Bootable Image (error code)"!

Please help me accomplish the task of creating a Bootable WinXP on my Flash-drive in order to make a further attempt of installing the same on my PC, or atleast be able to run the same through USB Flash drive!

Lastly, is there some Exclusive method to transform a usual ISO to a Bootable ISO? Why the prompts are refusing to recognize the newly created ISO as a Bootable ISO?

Kindly suggest...& help will be sincerely appreciated.

PS - My current OS is Win 8 Home edition & current system is HP AIO Desktop PC--18-1206in.

I am very interested in using this product, but I need more information on the development team. What country are you based in, and is this a group of remote developers working together, or is The EasyUEFI Development Team a formal company, where they are all employed solely for the purposes of the company interests (i.e. Easy UEFI, WinToUSB, WinToHDD, etc.)?

Product looks great and works great, but I need more company info to purchase it.

Hello!

i really appreciate your programs but i always have difficulties to find the latest build version and changelog

Can you please show these valuable informations on the frontpage of this program?

(including stable versions, beta versions and recent changes)

i understand this can take some place to post it in the frontpage. in this case, simple links to the adequate pages will do
(ex: Link to Stable Version - Link to Beta Version - Link to Changelog)

I want to boot both BIOS-based and UEFI-based computers. So on my USB hard drive I created a System FAT partition(350M) and a NTFS boot partition. But it does not allow me to select the system partition. There is no radio button for the system partition. What is the problem?

I am using WinToUSB Free v3.1. I am trying to install Windows 10 Pro 64 bits. My USB hard drive is using MBR partition.

Screenshot is attached.

Unallocated space in WinToUSB.VHD

My WinToUSB.VHD is 66 GB of which my cloned C drive takes 49.05 GB and the rest is shown as unallocated space of 16.95 GB. I got to know this after i mounted this VHD. Now, why is this space there first of all, secondly is this unallocated space being used by any system ? or Is it lying just dead vacant and unused. I would like to reclaim this space if possible. I have cloned my Windows 7 Ultimate. Below is screen shot of my HDDs. Please advise.

Hardware question.

I created a couple of Win 10 USB external hard drives, and am having a small question: I had to get a replacement motherboard, so, how would I go about reactivating my drives to this new system? I 'd rather not have to delete all the work I've put into them, but don't want to be without activated drives, either.

Thank for your support,
UserPerson

I got to the step where you select the usb drive partitions.  I have one in FAT32 and the other in NTFS and, I try to click on them but they do not highlight in red.  Leaving me with the next button still grayed out.

Thanks for the help!

Windows 10 USB3_DRIVER error

I have installed Windows 10 on a Samsung T1 portable ssd using WinToUsb.  When I boot from the usb on certain computers I get a blue screen of death with the code BUGCODE_USB3_DRIVER.  Any ideas why?  On the same computers it boots fine (albeit slowly) on usb 2.  But on other computers it boots correctly on usb 3.0.

I have tried uefi and bios booting, and different versions of Windows 10, but no luck.  All the computers, both working and not, are Dell branded.  Drivers are up to date.  I've even tried making my Windows To Go install using a rival programme (Aomei), but the same error persists on the same machines.

So it seems the problem is hardware-based because it consistently works on some machines and consistently fails on others, but I would really like to know a solution to the problem.  Having a portable OS is not that useful when it only works on certain machines.

WintoUSB does not work at all for me

Hello specialists

Probably someone is here to help me. I'm writing from Germany.
I was very excited when I heard about WintoUSB. A tool which should solve my problem.
But I tried to do this with my HP Elitebook 820 Notebook without success.

My goal is to clone my existing installed Windows 7 Enterprise to a 128 GB USB Stick.
Everything seems to be working, but when the SW comes to cloning, I always get the error message " Specified disk not found " !!!
Diskpart does not recognize my USB Stick.
I searched in the Web and found, that there is a problem with USB 3 ports.
First question Why ??? Is WintoUSB not handling USB 3 correctly and why not ? Windows does. And the stick is recognized before cloning !!!
There was a solution to implement a USB 3 driver in the Windows PE, but when I followed the instruction steps, I always get the message, that I can't have access to the image !!! Even I started cmd as administrator !!! I also don't know what driver.
Why is WintoUSB so complicated ?

There's a second question. After WintoUSB formatted my USB stick I have the choice to chose the boot and the system partition on the USB Stick.
The information which shows up, is, that both partitions have the same capacity. That can't by right, can't it? Another issue?

I downloaded WintoUSB 3.2 and I know, that to clone Windows Enterprise I will need the Full version.
I really would like to buy it, if somebody could explain me how to clone my Windows to the USB Sticks in a way having no issues.
Otherwise it's wasting money.

I would appreciate, if someone could help me. It would be perfect, if I have my Win 7 on a Boot USB Stick

Regards from Germany

Inaccessible Boot Device after Windows 10 Updates

I have been using Windows 7 to go for a long time from my external USB 3.0 HDD.
Some time ago I formatted and installed Windows 10 - nothing else has changed.
Windows 10 ran well and felt more performant than Windows 7.
After some automatic updates from Windows 10 I now always get the Error: INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE when I try to boot from an USB 3.0 port.
USB 2.0 still works just fine.
I have always been using USB 3.0 and had really nice speed on the system - now with USB 2.0 it's quite slow.

Was anything patched in Windows 10, that makes USB 3.0 not working anymore?
Can this be fixed?

Thank you for your help!
